Sojourner 3DoT to PCB Interface Definition

By Piyush Jain (Missions, System, & Testing)

Introduction

For Project Sojourner to be successful, it’s important to document the connection between the 3DoT and Custom PCB. This blog post will define the pin definitions between the 3DoT and PCB.

The 3DoT board has jumpers, J5, which are used to connect external boards to it. Sojourner’s custom PCB uses this jumper connection. J5 comprises of pins 1 thru 5, allocated as SCL, SDA, v3.3, GND, & GND respectively. The custom PCB connects to pin 1 thru 4. In addition, Sojourner’s proximity sensor connects to the 3DoT and PCB with the connections shown in the interface definition.
